Screw jack
iF Design Award 2018 to Neff screw drives
Neff Gewindetriebe has won this year's iF Design Award in the Product / Industry discipline with its innovative Tubix worm gear screw jack. The iF Design Award is presented once a year by the world's oldest and interdisciplinary recognized International Forum Design (iF) based in Hanover.
With its reduction to the essentials, the worm gear screw jack won over the 63-member jury of independent, international experts. Consistently following the innovative approach of value engineering, worm gear screw jacks were created from two crossed tubes. Connected by laser welding, these take over the function of the traditional gearbox housing, which simplifies material variations and enables a wide range of new applications.
The number of applicants was large: the jurors had to award the coveted seal of quality from 6,400 submissions from 54 countries.
Neff traditionally stands for high-quality screw drives. Threads have been cut, whirled, rolled or ground for over 100 years.
Today, Neff is a highly qualified development and manufacturing company and offers solutions for threaded spindles and nuts. In addition to ball and trapezoidal screws in various designs, the company manufactures a wide range of end products and systems. The catalog includes screw jacks in a wide variety of designs, telescopic screw drives and, most recently, the Tubix series - screw jacks with a gear housing made from crossed tubes. kp
