The basic technology - the IPC@Chip - is at the heart of Beck IPC's product range for industrial OEMs, and with the IPC@Chip Beck offers a compact, programmable embedded platform solution in the form factor of a chip. Tailor-made for embedded IIoT applications, the IPC@Chip can be used as a PLC, a communication controller or a combination of both. OEMs benefit from reduced development effort when creating an IIoT solution and a fast time-to-market.

The com.tom gateways and the associated cloud portal are also part of Beck IPC's portfolio. The extensive product family addresses factory and process automation and includes gateways for industrial networks as well as edge gateways for IIoT applications. The cloud portal provides all the necessary elements for an IIoT application. The com.tom cloud broker manages all incoming and outgoing data, taking configuration and security aspects into account.

"Beck IPC's knowledge and hardware and software products for IIoT, especially in the embedded area, are important building blocks to strengthen HMS' IIoT strategy," says Staffan Dahlström, CEO of HMS. "Beck IPC's product and service offering complements our existing Anybus, Ixxat and ewon solutions."

"Thanks to our complementary technologies, we can offer really interesting IIoT solutions together and HMS's worldwide sales organization ensures a global market reach," says Thomas Schumacher, Managing Director of Beck IPC.

In financial terms, Beck IPC GmbH expects net sales of six to seven million euros in 2018, which will be added to the sales growth of HMS. as
