Independent area
Hänchen creates its own R&D department
At hydraulics specialist Herbert Hänchen from Ostfildern, an independent division will in future conduct research and development independently of order and project-related design under the management of Klaus Wagner.
An innovative composite material with a wider range of applications than just for hydraulic cylinders, complete special test benches, a new seal combination developed from scratch for hydraulics: Hänchen from Ostfildern has had a rapid innovation pace in recent years.
"Hydraulic cylinders, including the Ratio Clamp, continue to be a core business for us. However, we want to help shape the market through innovation in this area as well as in areas such as composite materials and Ratio-Drive, including special testing machine construction," the entrepreneur continues. For this "Research and Innovation" area, Klaus G. Wagner will be relieved of his operational duties and can concentrate fully on new technical approaches.
Winfried Schröppel is now responsible for operational design, special design and other order-related R&D activities as well as everything to do with Ratio-Drive. He is new to Hänchen and was previously responsible for the interface between design and production for an English company. Test systems are particularly important to him in the context of Ratio-Drive as "customer-specific projected integration of sensor technology, control technology and drive technology." as
