Embedded World 2026 trade fair preview
International industry meeting for embedded technologies
The Embedded World trade fair and conference in Nuremberg takes place every spring as a central platform for the embedded community. The focus is on embedded systems - combinations of hardware and software that are integrated into technical products and perform defined functions there. Since it was founded in 2003 by NürnbergMesse GmbH, the event has developed into an internationally established industry meeting place where companies from the automotive industry, information technology, telecommunications, industrial and consumer electronics as well as military and aviation technology are represented. The exhibition sees itself as a forum for professional exchange and technological developments.
A key component of the event is the embedded world Exhibition & Conference. It combines exhibitor presentations, specialist lectures and discussion formats in one place and is aimed at developers, engineers, decision-makers and representatives of research institutions. The specialization on technologies, development processes and new product approaches characterizes the profile of the trade fair. The offer is complemented by a supporting program that takes up current topics from the embedded systems industry and makes developments visible.
The embedded world Conference spans three days and offers a structured program with specialist presentations and discussion panels from 10 to 12 March 2026. The aim is to promote exchange between research, development and practice. Experts will present technical approaches, evaluate the state of the art and discuss trends. The conference sees itself as a platform for knowledge transfer within the industry.
Conference as a knowledge platform
The electronic displays Conference will take place at the same time. It lasts two days and is aimed at international experts from the field of industrial and automotive displays. Topics include developments in LCD, OLED and micro-LED technologies as well as energy-efficient reflective displays. The event serves as an exchange platform for the display community and combines specialist information with industry perspectives.
In addition to the trade fair and conferences, companies present their products and services in exhibitor forums. Participation in these presentations is free of charge. Expert panels will also be organized on the forum stages in Hall 3 and Hall 5, where technical issues and market developments will be discussed. These formats enable direct dialog between suppliers and trade visitors.
Making innovation visible: the embedded award
An integral part of the event is the presentation of the embedded award. The prize is awarded annually to innovative products and solutions in the field of embedded systems. The award is presented in nine categories: Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Displays, Embedded Vision, Hardware, Safety & Security, SoC/IP/IC Design, Software, Startup and Tools. The award makes technical developments visible and documents key innovations within the industry. The embedded award ceremony will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Embedded World Exhibition&Conference.
The Student Day is aimed at students on relevant degree courses from Europe. Many participants are about to graduate and use the event to get to know companies and make contacts with potential employers. For companies, the Student Day offers the opportunity to enter into an exchange with junior staff about internships, working student positions, thesis topics or trainee programs.
