Schleiwies takes over northern sales region
EKS Engel intensifies project business
Fiber optic specialist Eks Engel FOS has strengthened its sales team with Torsten Schleiwies. The 45-year-old, who has been working in the IT sector since 1992 and most recently worked in the field sales department of network specialist Yello NetCom, is responsible as Key Account Manager for project business in the northern sales region, which includes the federal states of Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Bremen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg and Berlin as well as parts of Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.
His tasks include, in particular, supporting existing and developing new customers, planning projects and contributing to eks' sales strategy. The trained electrician began his professional career in 1992 in switch cabinet construction at Klaus Richter in Ritterhude near Bremen. In 2000, he retrained as a PC customer service technician and then worked first at PwC Deutsche Revision, Hamburg, and then at its subsidiary PwC Unternehmensberatung, in areas including first and second level support as well as IT infrastructure care and maintenance.
He also worked for S.A.D. Software Vertriebs- und Produktions GmbH in Neu-Ulm and Yello NetCom, Rheine, where he was responsible for the sale of network solutions in the industrial division. His tasks included setting up and developing customers, project consulting and conducting workshops.
