ebm-papst: Thomas Borst retires

After 18 very successful years as Managing Director Sales and Marketing of the ebm-papst Group, Thomas Borst is retiring from his active role on June 30, 2018: "I am leaving the upcoming changes in the hands of the future management team!"

It was on his initiative that the ebm-papst brand and the strategic positioning in the global markets were created. Under his leadership of the global sales organization, the ebm-papst Group's turnover more than tripled from 600 million euros to over 2 billion euros.

The shareholders and Advisory Board would like to thank Thomas Borst most sincerely for his decades of commitment and wish him all the best for his private future.

In future, the Group Management Board will consist of four members: Stefan Brandl (Chairman/CEO), Thomas Wagner (Production/COO), Hans Peter Fuchs (Finance and Controlling/CFO) and Dr. Stephan Arnold (Research, Development and Materials Management/CTO).

In line with the 2020 structure, an international management board with managing directors from Landshut, St. Georgen, the USA and China is attached to the Group Management Board as a substructure.

At the beginning of 2017, Stefan Brandl launched the "Structure 2020" at ebm-papst. With this, the company will become more international at its three main locations in North America, Asia and Europe (Germany) and align itself more closely with the principle of "local for local", but with stronger integration within top management.
