Continental and Toyota Material Handling are joining forces. Toyota will equip all Traigo80 forklift trucks ordered since April 1, 2018 with the SC20+ solid tire as standard.

"The decision for Continental follows an intensive analysis and of the market: For buyers of our counterbalance trucks, the durability and longevity of their tires are essential," says Giorgio Polonio, General Manager Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing Italy. "This is particularly true for the Traigo80, which is used for the most intensive applications, both indoors and outdoors."

With the SC20+, maintenance and servicing costs as well as the truck's energy consumption can be measurably reduced. "The SC20+ combines the best of both worlds: It offers durability and mileage and saves valuable energy, especially on hard and abrasive surfaces," says Julian Alexander, Product Line Manager Material Handling Continental. The tire, available since January of this year, is equipped with a new compound that combines maximum mileage with low energy consumption.

The tire is particularly hard-wearing and cut-resistant in high-intensity applications both indoors and outdoors on uneven surfaces such as cobblestones. kp
