Castrol and Leadec
Fluid management partnership for Factory 4.0
Castrol and the Leadec Group announce a pan-European fluid management partnership for industrial customers.
The two companies are thus combining their industry expertise in lubricants and services in the manufacturing industry. This enables them to offer customers a complete package that includes engineering and planning, standardized on-site services and industrial lubricants, resulting in savings in total cost of ownership. Added to this is the experience of the two partners in condition monitoring, predictive maintenance and other services for the factory of the future.
The cooperation between Leadec and Castrol aims to support industrial companies with fluid management in the smart factory. This integrated services approach is intended to provide industrial companies with a standardized approach and thus ensure consistent service quality as well as local expertise in the factories. In addition, interfaces can be reduced - through services from a single source with a smaller number of management systems and contacts.
In this way, service structures are also optimized across factory boundaries. This is an important prerequisite for using collected data to continuously improve processes in the production infrastructure and ultimately reduce overall operating costs through more efficient fluid management. In corresponding programs, Castrol and Leadec work together with customers to develop solutions to reduce and effectively control the consumption of lubricants, water and energy, for example.
Overall, the two partners support their customers in increasing the quality level of production. "Industry trends such as e-mobility and Industry 4.0 require integrated services. By bringing together the best of both worlds, Leadec and Castrol can provide their customers with future-proof offerings," says Markus Glaser-Gallion, CEO of the Leadec Group. "Because optimized service structures and new business models in the factory ecosystem play a central role for all companies."
"With our partner Leadec," explains Andreas Osbar, Member of the Management Board of BP Europa SE responsible for the lubricants business, "we offer a European fluid management program for industrial customers that leverages our lubricant expertise and engineering experience. Combined with our first-class service and our high-performance lubricants, we want to reduce the total cost of ownership for our customers and also drive their sustainability agenda."
The services will be gradually introduced throughout Europe. In the long term, the joint fluid management services are to be offered worldwide.
