New Head of HR and new Head of Operations
Bühler Motor: Generation change
Kerstin Jung took over overall responsibility for the Bühler Motor Group's Human Resources department as Vice President Human Resources on March 1. She succeeds Matthias Otto, who has decisively shaped the department over the past 12 years and significantly advanced its internationalization. Matthias Otto has taken his well-deserved retirement.
On May 1, Michael Eckert took over responsibility for production planning and the Group's global production sites as Vice President Operations. With the support of his predecessor Karlheinz Müller, he had already been preparing for this task since January 1. With the handover of the baton, Karlheinz Müller will also be retiring at the end of May after 12 successful years.
"We would like to thank Matthias Otto and Karlheinz Müller for their extraordinary commitment. In their positions, they have made a significant contribution to making our company fit for the growing demands of the markets," says Peter Muhr, Co-CEO of the Group.
"In Kerstin Jung and Michael Eckert, we have found exactly the right 'agents of change' to lead our company successfully into the future. These two managers fit the Bühler Motor mentality, which we increasingly need for the challenges of the future: leading employees with enthusiasm paired with entrepreneurial responsibility, enjoyment of change and, last but not least, consistent customer orientation," emphasizes Mark Furtwängler, Co-CEO and co-owner.
Kerstin Jung comes from Dräxlmaier, where she was most recently Head of HR Division Production, Logistics, Purchasing. Prior to that, she was responsible for HR development at Sanacorp Pharmahandel and worked at the Allianz Group for more than 12 years at various locations and in different areas of responsibility, particularly in HR and organizational development. Before joining the HR department, she worked in sales and product management.
Before joining Bühler, Michael Eckert was most recently Managing Director at tool manufacturer Gedore in Remscheid. For more than 10 years, he held international positions as Production and Operations Manager for Mahle-Behr and as Technical Managing Director at Voss Automotive Mexico in Spain and Mexico.
