Reorganization of the organizational structure
Barbara Leithner joins the management of Reed Exhibitions
Reed Exhibitions Austria appoints Barbara Leithner as new Managing Director.
Leithner succeeds Dietmar Eiden, who previously held the position of Managing Director for B2B trade fairs and is leaving the company for his native Germany at his own request. Barbara Leithner (43) has been with Reed Exhibitions since 2010 in various functions and was responsible for the introduction of a new ERP system in addition to Corporate Affairs. Prior to that, she was in charge of the development and implementation of successful trade fairs such as VIECC Vienna Comic Con and the Vienna Real Estate Fair and is therefore very familiar with all areas of the company. "With Barbara Leithner, a long-standing trade fair expert is joining the management team who not only knows our portfolio inside out, but will also successfully develop it further," says Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein, CEO of Reed Exhibitions Austria.
One of the new Managing Director's main tasks will be to drive forward the reorganization of the company's structure, which began with the centralization of communication and the introduction of Salesforce at the start of October. Instead of separating B2C and B2B agendas as before, Reed Exhibitions plans to manage sales and the operational trade fair business independently in order to engage even more intensively with customers. Together with her Managing Director colleague Gernot Krausz, Barbara Leithner will be working intensively on the design of these new areas in the coming months and will set up the organizational structure by April 2020, the date of the full integration of Salesforce. "The new Marketing Communication division will contribute to the further development of content and brands. With Salesforce, we are undergoing a digital transformation and becoming more efficient, faster and offering the best customer service. Now it's time for the entire organization to follow suit. With Barbara Leithner and Gernot Krausz, we have entrusted this development to two strong personalities who, thanks to their experience, can perfectly implement the challenges and tasks," emphasizes Reed CEO Binder-Krieglstein.
