Automation trade fair remains in Nuremberg

SPS IPC Drives, the leading trade fair for smart and digital automation, will remain in Nuremberg. This has been agreed by the owner of the event, Mesago Messe Frankfurt, and NürnbergMesse as the host venue.

SPS IPC Drives will remain in Nuremberg for the long term: Martin Roschkowski, Managing Director of Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, and Petra Haarburger, Managing Director of Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, at the signing of the contract with Dr. Roland Fleck, CEO NürnbergMesse Group (from left to right).

"Our customers want planning security and positive framework conditions. They will find both at SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg. This benefits both the trade fair and the exhibition venue. Messe Frankfurt has extensive experience in organizing high-tech trade fairs, and in Nuremberg we find the right environment to further develop SPS IPC Drives dynamically," says Martin Roschkowski, Managing Director of Mesago Messe Frankfurt.

Dr. Roland Fleck, CEO of NürnbergMesse Group, sees Nuremberg as an ideal exhibition venue and underlines the synergies at the location: "Nuremberg is at the heart of 'Automation Valley'. This is where the companies and research institutions that are driving 'Industry 4.0' worldwide are located. NürnbergMesse is also home to a number of successful technology trade fairs. So it is only logical to organize SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg." "As an exhibition organizer, we and all our subsidiaries pursue the strategy of always holding events where supply and demand are most closely matched. Nuremberg and SPS IPC Drives are therefore a perfect match," adds Uwe Behm, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt.

In 2017, more than 70,000 trade visitors (three quarters from Germany) came to find out about the innovative products and services of 1,675 exhibitors (two thirds from Germany) on 130,000 square meters. As the leading trade fair, SPS IPC Drives covers the entire spectrum of industrial automation - from simple sensors to solutions for digital, smart automation. Exhibitors value the trade fair above all for its distinctive working atmosphere. Visitors benefit from innovative automation solutions and numerous product presentations.

NürnbergMesse CEO Peter Ottmann sees the global aspect of the cooperation: "We are cooperating successfully with Messe Frankfurt on numerous levels: in Russia in sales, in India as part of the 'Build Fair Alliance' and now also in the long term with SPS IPC Drives here in Nuremberg. A cooperation that brings tangible added value for both partners." kp
