Especially for use in automated guided vehicles (AGVs), ABM offers gearboxes that are compact in design and can be installed in a space-saving manner.

The two- to three-stage components are available with high reduction ratios, low backlash and high encoder resolution. They are designed for low speeds and enable precise positioning of the vehicles. Depending on the design, the steering is controlled via an electronic differential control of two motors for cornering, for example. One or more drive wheels can be steered electrically for complex forward and reverse maneuvers, sideways travel or turning when stationary. The variants that are particularly suitable for use in AGVs include bevel gearboxes from the KG series with torques from 60 to 800 Newton meters. The range of flat gearboxes in the FG series extends from 50 to 2,000 Newton meters. ABM Greiffenberger's portfolio also includes spur gearboxes with output torques from 30 to 2,080 Newton meters. pb
