Visible safety for small brakes

The Roba-brake-checker module from Mayr can monitor safety brakes, provides data and ensures intelligent safety. New versions will be shown at the SPS, which can now also monitor small sizes from a braking torque of two Newton meters.

This opens up new possibilities for brake monitoring - especially for spring-applied brakes in servomotors and for applications in robotics and automation. The module works without sensors. It uses an advanced analysis of current and voltage to detect the movement of the armature disk and knows the status of the brake. The Roba-brake-checker monitors not only the switching status, temperature and wear, but also the traction path or traction force reserve. as
