Spring clutches for construction machinery
Spring clutches from Torsion Control Products (TCP) are ideal for use in construction machinery where modern diesel engines are used.
With their special torsional characteristics, the durable and robust couplings dampen driveline vibrations and remain operational even under the harshest operating conditions. The diesel engine drives of construction machinery and other work machines generate torsional vibrations. TCP's steel spring couplings influence these torsional vibrations and thus prevent damage to the entire driveline components. A wide range of different coupling configurations enables optimum adaptation to specific requirements. In particular, the spring characteristic curve and the damping characteristics can be optimally selected by calculating the torsional vibration. The clutches' smart damping technology prevents unwanted gear rattling.
Torsion Control Products, part of Timken since 2017, has been developing, manufacturing and distributing a wide range of torsionally soft clutches for mobile machinery for more than 30 years. The spring clutch series is available in various designs and covers a torque range from 27 to 27,000 newton meters. In addition to construction and road-building machinery, typical applications include agricultural vehicles, transmissions, hydrostatic pump drives, powershift transmissions and hybrid drives in mining machinery and industrial plants.
