New software engine for material flow systems

Wegener + Stapel Fördertechnik will be focusing on a conveyor loop that combines a large number of the latest system components.

Contributes to shorter installation times: The Flextronic+ control box © Wegener+ Stapel

The Flexware+ software engine presented for the first time, in combination with the modules of the Flexcontrol+ control software, reduces project risk, costs and runtimes. This is made possible by standardized software interfaces for decentralized control of the Wegener + Stapel ConX50 modular conveyor system for carton and container transport up to 50 kilograms. In addition, the factory pre-wired production of the conveyor technology components with standardized arrangement of the decentralized 24-volt Flextronic+ control box enables shorter installation times. Wegener+Stapel has also developed the Flexware+ material flow computer. With standardized and predefined functions, the new software engine ensures optimum system control. Thanks to the modular structure of the control modules in the PLC control system (Siemens TIA Portal) and in the decentralized control boxes of Flextronic+, all conveyor technology components and functions can be combined as intended in the system layout. mm
