Functional cable connection technology from Kollmorgen
Following the AKD and AKD-N servo controllers, Kollmorgen is now also equipping the S700 with single-cable connection technology. The servo controllers in the S700 series are primarily designed to fulfill particularly complex drive tasks - including safety technology up to SIL3.
The devices can be freely programmed with macro support in a language based on IEC 61131-3. Among other things, the S700 features cogging compensation. With the single-cable connection technology now available for the S700 controllers, the manufacturer combines the SFD digital resolver developed in-house or high-resolution Hiperface DSL encoders in a standard motor cable. The result is an economical and lean installation solution that is designed to reduce costs on the one hand and increase machine performance on the other. sw
