SD4M with Ethernet-based bus system

Compared to its predecessor, the SD2M, the SD4M frequency inverter from Sieb & Meyer offers functional and control-related improvements: The main advantages are the control technology improvements and the Ethernet-based bus systems.

The SD4M also offers a control function for IPM motors. In the field of turbo compressors and turbocompressors, the SD4M benefits from low motor heating in combination with the high system efficiency wheel. Furthermore, the elimination of motor chokes or sinusoidal filters results in a more compact design volume and lower manufacturing costs. The new 32-bit processor is up to five times faster and therefore allows a higher resolution and more precise calculations. Sieb & Meyer has also used the processor performance for new control functions. This makes it possible to optimally operate synchronous motors with "buried" magnets, also known as interior permanent magnet motors (IPM).
