Profile rail couplings

Andreas Mühlbauer,

Easy to retrofit

Jakob Antriebstechnik offers profile rail couplings that can be easily used in conjunction with all standard profile rails. They are attached either directly or using adapter plates to existing profile rails from various manufacturers and are therefore also suitable for retrofitting.

The separation from the exchangeable rail can be made both vertically (PKV series) and horizontally (PKH series). The force-enhancing wedge clamping mechanism easily closes a joint gap of up to 5 mm between the active and passive parts. This clamping kinematics ensures high rigidity and precision of the joint. The clamping force generation is ensured by an electrical clamping status query and a minimum clamping force in the event of a pressure drop.

The vertical clutch consists of a passive and active part made of heat-treated steel. The clamping force is generated in the active part by an axially displaceable locking bolt and a mechanical clamping gear. This design enables high clamping forces and high dynamic rigidity to be achieved with a low mass. A vertical lift-out stroke is required for the tool change.

The PKV series is available both as a fully automatic, pneumatically operated PKV-P version and as the PKV-M series with simple manual operation.
