Planetary gearbox with high torque
For applications that require a high torque, Nanotec has high-torque planetary gearboxes in two sizes and many reduction ratios in its range.
The GP42 gearbox is designed for motors with a NEMA 17 flange and the DF45 external rotor motors from Nanotec. It can be combined with all brushless DC and stepper motors in sizes NEMA 23 and 24 (56/60 millimetres). To increase efficiency and service life with increased axial and radial loads, the GP56 is also available with reinforced output bearings and needle-bearing planets. Both gearbox series are available in single-stage and two-stage versions, with rated torques between 1.8 and 23.5 Newton meters. The maximum gear backlash is 0.95 degrees.
The gearing, materials and hardening process have been optimized compared to previous series thanks to the simulation-based gearing design, which means that the high-torque gearboxes achieve a significantly higher torque than gearboxes of a comparable design.
