Innovation for environments exposed to radiation

The ENX GAMA are magnetic 2-channel encoders and are available in 10 mm and 13 mm sizes. They replace the previous MEnc encoders and have been developed for environments exposed to radiation. Resistant to ionizing radiation, they can withstand a dose of up to 500krad (SIO2). With this property, the GAMA encoders can be used, for example, in devices for radiation therapy (MLC multileaf collimators). The axially arranged connection cable is designed as a single-cable system and also integrates the motor cables of the attached DC motor. This single-cable solution enables compact and space-saving installation.

Growth in the EC frameless DT series

With the EC frameless DT, Maxon presents a solution that packs a punch: The brushless motors with their frameless concept can be easily integrated into a wide range of applications. They show their strengths where the highest demands are placed on dynamics, torque and power density. Maxon is expanding the series with the new EC frameless DT50S motor - a shortened version of the DT50M. The new version is optimized for an even higher power density, has a first-class thermal connection and offers precise temperature monitoring with the integrated temperature sensors.

The TSX-MAG encoder completes the EC frameless DT50. It is a through-shaft encoder that is not installed directly on the motor axis (off-axis). The encoder generates Hall and incremental signals and is therefore an ideal signal generator for precise positioning tasks.

Product expansion of the IDX program

Experience with the IDX56 has shown that there is a great need on the market for even more powerful motors and drives - especially in the intralogistics and industrial sectors. The new IDX70 meets this need with a compact installation space. With a rated torque of up to 3.75 Nm and a rated power of 954 W, it sets new standards not only at Maxon - the compactness of this drive is unique on the market. The IDX70 is again available in two different basic configurations: with and without an integrated controller.

The EXC flat product family is also growing with the ECX flat 32: the motor is available as a high-torque version with segmented magnets and an open rotor in lengths S (16.2 mm) and L (18.7 mm). The standard version with ring magnet and closed rotor in length S completes the range. The new motor is based on EC-flat technology and is optimized for higher power density.
