New DC motors in the Faulhaber portfolio

Andreas Mühlbauer,

Compact powerhouses with versatile configurability

With the expansion of its product portfolio, Faulhaber is presenting several new additions to its DC micromotors: the powerful motors of the new 1437 GXR family with copper-graphite commutation and the precious metal commutated motors of the proven SXR family in sizes 1424 and 1437.

Developed for high reliability and flexibility, these drives open up new possibilities for modern, space-saving drive solutions. With a diameter of 14 mm, the new models are perfectly matched to Faulhaber's modular system - including seamless compatibility with planetary gearboxes and magnetic encoders. Product Manager Dario Del Favero explains: "With the new 14 mm motors, users do not have to make any compromises in terms of compactness, functionality and performance. In combination with the precisely fitting 14GPT gearbox and the IEP3 encoder, the result is a diameter-compliant complete solution that achieves the best efficiency and maximum dynamics." Thanks to the precise coordination of the components, developers and engineers benefit from perfect synergies from a single source.

Robust, durable and individually configurable

The GXR and SXR motors are characterized by a durable, robust design and high performance. This is ensured, among other things, by the hexagonal winding, which enables maximum power density in the smallest possible space. In addition to various bearing configurations, flexible voltage variants and a wide range of electrical connection options are available. The motors are also characterized by modifications to the front and rear shafts and optimized rotor balancing.

Like all Faulhaber products, the new DC motors are RoHS-compliant and meet the highest quality standards. The wide range of equipment options allows them to be used in a wide variety of applications - for example in high-end optical systems, telescopes and microscopes as well as in medical applications such as surgical robots or infusion pumps.

Ideal for the modular Faulhaber system

With the new GXR and SXR motors, Faulhaber is underlining its claim to provide high-performance drive solutions for high-tech applications. Thanks to their modular combinability and high adaptability, the compact DC motors open up new perspectives in miniaturization and system integration - with maximum performance and reliability at the same time.
