Metal bellows coupling

Stiff and yet flexible

The KM metal bellows coupling from Jakob Antriebstechnik is a reliable standard series. It is rigid in the direction of rotation, but flexible in the axial, angular and radial directions.

Metal bellows couplings from the KM series are available with nominal torques from 0.4 to 1,300 Newton meters.

Technical differences in metal bellows couplings lie, for example, in the choice of bellows or the type of connection between bellows and hub or bellows and shaft. Jakob only uses thin-walled, multi-layer bellows made from certified stainless steel sheets. This results in high torsional stiffness, which ensures high positioning and concentricity accuracy even under difficult conditions. Torque transmission between the input and output shafts is absolutely backlash-free. The multi-layer bellows design ensures that large shaft misalignments can be absorbed with low restoring forces - for greater reliability, operational safety and service life.

The KM clamping hub is equipped with the Easy-Clamp system, which makes it easy to slide on. The preload force required for torque transmission is ensured by a single, radially accessible screw per hub. This reliable connection allows uncomplicated installation in just a few simple steps, even in confined spaces. pb
