Mayr expands the management team
Ferdinand Mayr, the grandson of Fritz Mayr, is the fifth generation to join the management team at Mayr Antriebstechnik with immediate effect.
The Allgäu-based family business Mayr Antriebstechnik is expanding its management team: Ferdinand Mayr has been appointed Managing Director with immediate effect. This means that the fifth generation of the Mayr family is taking over responsibility for the company, which was founded in 1897. Ferdinand Mayr, grandson of Fritz Mayr, will share the management role with Fritz Mayr, himself the grandson of the company founder, and Günther Klingler, who heads Mayr's national and international activities as Managing Director and CEO.
In future, Ferdinand Mayr will be primarily responsible for the digitalization of the company and will manage the finances and strategic decisions of the Mayr Group together with CEO Günther Klingler.
At the Hannover Messe 2019, the company showed how networking, digitalization and Industry 4.0 are reflected in its portfolio. For example, the intelligent Roba-brake-checker module detects the movement of the armature plate by analysing current and voltage and knows the condition of the brake at all times. In addition to switching status, temperature and wear, the module also monitors the traction path or traction force reserve, i.e. whether the magnet is still able to attract the armature disk. as
