Linear DC servomotors
Small linear movements
With a continuous force of 6.2 newtons and a peak force of up to 18.4 newtons, the LM 1483 is a suitable addition to the portfolio of linear DC servomotors. The manufacturer Faulhaber thus offers a performance spectrum with continuous forces from 1.02 to 9.2 Newtons and peak forces from 2.74 to 27.6 Newtons.
The LM 1483 also combines high dynamics with high precision and repeat accuracy; the latter is 120 or 40 micrometers and acceleration reaches up to 220 meters per square second. Measuring 14 x 20 x 83 millimetres and with a slider rod diameter of six millimetres, the LM 1483 is available in various stroke lengths from 20 to 80 millimetres. In addition, the stainless steel slider rod is fitted with welded cover plates for a robust interface to the application. Thanks to the three integrated analog Hall sensors, version 11 can be combined with motion controllers.
Linear DC servomotors are a suitable solution for applications with small and very small linear movements. They combine the highly dynamic performance and robust design typical of pneumatic systems with the high reliability and smooth running of a brushless motor. Applications include automatic placement machines where highly dynamic positioning is required. The long service life with millions of cycles stands for reliability and low maintenance in any complex system, such as those found in medicine, optics and device construction. pb
