Lenze: Dr. Achim Degner becomes new CFO
The Lenze Group has appointed Dr. Achim Degner (54) as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The financial expert will take up his duties on January 1, 2019 at the latest and will have overall responsibility for the Finance division.
Dr. Yorck Schmidt (52), CFO for many years and also responsible for the North American business and global service, will leave the company at his own request following the handover of his duties in order to pursue new professional challenges.
Dr. Achim Degner has been responsible for finance at the Baden-Württemberg-based machine tool manufacturer Chiron since 2004. Among other things, he successfully led the company through a phase of restructuring during the financial and economic crisis and subsequently drove forward the internationalization of the group of companies. Prior to this, Dr. Degner held various management positions, including Managing Director/CFO of LOI Thermprocess, an associated company of Ruhrgas Industries, where he was responsible for the turnaround of the company into a sustainably positive earnings position.
The business graduate studied economics and business administration at the Ruhr University in Bochum and the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster.
The Executive Board of the Lenze Group will otherwise remain unchanged with Christian Wendler as Chief Executive Officer, Frank Maier as Chief Technology Officer and Jochen Heier as Chief Operating Officer. as
