The new Bonfiglioli range combines flexibility, modularity and connectivity, targeting specific industrial application requirements in a wide range of industries and with varying degrees of complexity. The inverter is available in four sizes, covering a power range from 0.25 to 15 kW. Higher power versions will be added in the future.

The digital and open communication protocols enable smooth integration into automation networks in accordance with automation and Industry 4.0 standards and thanks to compatibility with a wide range of fieldbus protocols and machine controllers. Communication encryption is integrated into the design as standard to ensure secure communication.

In addition, AxiaVert is able to provide real-time diagnostics, energy optimization and scheduled maintenance information relating to the drive system through to the entire machine thanks to the condition monitoring functions on the most important inverter components and on the critical parameters of the geared motor.

The wide range of modern integrated safety functions complies with the international standards EN ISO 13849-1 and IEC 61508 and is available in different versions to select the most suitable variant in terms of cost and performance and to meet actual needs. This approach simplifies configuration and reduces the need for additional safety components, as Safe Brake Control and fast spindle axes with Safe Limited Speed ensure functionally safe and controlled operation of various movements, even without sensors.

Thanks to its modular design and PLC programmability, the system can be flexibly adapted and customized to meet many different application requirements by defining the appropriate software parameters and functions and selecting the most suitable hardware modules, such as communication or encoder modules, variants and accessories. In addition, the AxiaVert series offers a wide variety of construction and performance sizes, mounting options and cooling concepts.

Great process versatility is ensured by the high compatibility with a wide range of motors (asynchronous, synchronous, synchronous reluctance motors) and by the high speed, position and torque control accuracy for both open and closed-loop applications.

Finally, the AxiaManager engineering software for programming, commissioning, operation and monitoring ensures ease of use. AxiaManager is available as a Windows PC GUI and as a mobile app for instant access to drive status and configuration with a simplified user interface.
