SPS Kuhnke FIO Controller

Expandable PLC for motion tasks

With the new Kuhnke FIO Controller modular PLC for DIN rail mounting, Kendrion Kuhnke now has an industrial controller with motion functionality in its portfolio. Thanks to the real-time Etherat master, the CPU runs Codesys Softmotion CNC+Robotics with typical kinematics and CNC interpolation.

This new universal industrial controller in accordance with IEC61131 is a modularly expandable, powerful PLC with scalable functionality and connectivity. It can be used for simple as well as complex and very fast control, regulation and motion tasks. The flexible modularity of the PLC is provided by the associated Ethercat expansion modules from the Kuhnke FIO series with I/O and safety modules. With additional bus couplers, a decentralized structure with several module groups can be implemented.

All FIO controllers use processors with long-term availability, which ensure high processing speed. Numerous interfaces enable open communication and flexible system architectures. Combined with the compact FIO series, the controller is a cost-effective all-round PLC, the manufacturer promises. In addition to digital and analog input and output cards, the series includes function modules for various automation tasks: Control and regulation, communication, safety, motion and many more. The modules communicate with each other without restrictions or loss of performance. The Ethercat real-time Ethernet bus system ensures fast, secure data transmission and a flexible topology. as
