Intelligent monitoring

The intelligent Roba-brake-checker and Roba-torqcontrol modules from Mayr are designed to make brakes fit for the challenges of Industry 4.0 and create the conditions for preventive fault detection and maintenance.

The Roba-brake-checker is now also available in a version for AC voltage. In a further expansion stage, the module also controls the brake and thus replaces a rectifier. With the Roba-torqcontrol module, the company has developed a solution that enables customizable braking reactions and allows machines to be brought to a defined standstill. If the module is used in a closed control loop system, it is possible to run defined deceleration ramps, i.e. to brake the machines gently and according to the requirements.

The Roba-brake-checker module is also a solution for monitoring the brakes. The Roba-torqcontrol module also has a monitoring function and can also control brakes. Both modules work without a sensor and, in addition to the switching status, can also draw conclusions about temperature, wear and traction or traction reserve, i.e. whether the magnet is still able to attract the armature plate. as
