Drive system

New in the galaxy

Wittenstein is presenting new highlights for the Galaxie drive system: five different sizes and a new design. These include the compact Galaxie D version in size 085 for use in smaller milling heads and handling axes with special requirements for torsional rigidity and freedom from backlash, the ultra-flat Galaxie DF in sizes 110 and 135, which saves up to 30 percent of the overall length, and the Galaxie GH gearbox version with an optional angle pre-stage.

Galaxie can be integrated into existing machine concepts via flexible encoder interfaces. The use of the drive system in machine tools, milling heads and robotic welding guns will be on display at the trade fair stand. Using a Galaxie drive system equipped with sensors, Wittenstein will be demonstrating the transfer of operating data to an IoT cloud for the first time. In future, data can be retrieved anywhere and via all end devices over the entire life cycle of the drive, regardless of the respective control system. as
