Special covers and side seals prevent dirt or hot particles from entering the drive. There are also purge air connections which, in combination with the cover, can be used to generate overpressure inside the housing. Industrial connectors with a high IP protection rating and bayonet catches provide additional robustness. Thanks to a specially machined edge with a parallelism of better than 50 μm to the guides or the direction of movement, the linear tables can be easily aligned when installed in the machine.

With a width of 116 or 166 mm, their maximum load capacity is 400 or 450 N respectively and the travel of the series starts at 52 mm and extends up to 813 mm. The linear tables position with an accuracy of a few µm and offer speeds of up to 2 m/s, which enables high throughput rates. They can be combined with each other for multi-axis applications.

Three-phase magnetic direct drives are used for the linear tables. Here, no undesirable interactions with the permanent magnets (cogging torques) occur. This enables smooth running even at very low speeds. In addition, there are no vibrations at high speeds and non-linearity in the control behavior is avoided.

Position detection directly on the motion platform prevents non-linearities, mechanical play or elastic deformations from influencing the positioning. The linear tables can be controlled via an industrial control system from ACS.
