Condition monitoring

Motor scan as retrofit

At SPS IPC Drives, WEG will be presenting the Motor Scan, among other things. This condition monitoring solution, which can be retrofitted, enables real-time monitoring of electric motors via an intelligent app for the purpose of predictive maintenance.

The engine scan enables real-time monitoring based on the operating data read out, allowing predictive maintenance measures to be taken.

The Motor Scan records operating data in real time and can monitor any number of motors via the app, which is available for Android and iOS. Based on the operating data read out, system operators and maintenance staff can plan and take predictive maintenance measures in relation to the actual motor condition.

The collected data can be transferred to a secure cloud, from where it can then be accessed via a mobile app or a web portal, the WEG IoT platform. This enables a detailed analysis of the monitored electric motor. In this way, the motor scan contributes to an extended service life of the motors and increased system availability. The condition monitoring solution can be easily retrofitted using a mounting clamp. With protection class IP66, the Motor Scan is also suitable for various industrial applications. as
