Company merger in Switzerland
Drive systems equipped for the future
Faulhaber has been producing and selling its drive solutions in Switzerland for more than 60 years. In June 2023, the four Swiss sites merged to form one company under the new name Faulhaber SA.
The main site is located in Croglio in Ticino, where Faulhaber established its first headquarters in Switzerland back in 1962. The merger is intended to support a stronger and uniform presence in Switzerland.
Focus on small drives
The German company Faulhaber is known for drive solutions that are used worldwide. For example, in medical and laboratory technology, optics, automation and robots of all kinds. Faulhaber motors have even been used on challenging missions to Mars. From the very beginning, Faulhaber has specialized in solutions that are as small as possible but as powerful as possible. The company was founded in 1947 and settled in Ticino, Switzerland, in 1962. Faulhaber Minimotor SA in Croglio was followed by Faulhaber Precistep SA in La Chaux-de-Fonds in western Switzerland. Further production sites are located in Bioggio and Grenchen.
The new joint appearance unites the Swiss Faulhaber companies into one company under Faulhaber SA. The merger of the companies is part of a new strategy designed to increase Faulhaber's market presence and competitiveness in Switzerland and internationally in the long term. The two Managing Directors Dr. Jonas Grossenbacher (La Chaux-de-Fonds) and Steffen Pruchnik (Croglio) have been jointly at the helm of Faulhaber SA since June 2023. "By merging to form Faulhaber SA, we are pursuing the goal of further expanding our market share," says Co-Managing Director Steffen Pruchnik.
Networking four locations with each other
The employment contracts and conditions of employment of the more than 450 employees at all locations in Switzerland will remain unchanged. Jonas Grossenbacher, Co-Managing Director, is also looking forward to new challenges and a breath of fresh air: "I am particularly pleased that the merger will allow us to move closer together and pursue a common strategy. The challenge now will be to network and manage four locations in three cantons in the best possible way."
