Nanotec SCA5618

Compact stepper motor with high torque

With the SCA5618, Nanotec now offers a stepper motor with 15 to 30 percent more torque than comparable motors with a flange size of 56 millimetres (NEMA 23). Thanks to an improved stator geometry and optimized magnetic materials, the rotor moment of inertia is no higher than that of the predecessor model.

The SCA5618 is available in three lengths and with two different windings. The holding torque of this stepper motor is 0.6 to 2.3 Newton centimetres, depending on the length, and its resolution is 1.8 degrees. For a higher resolution, the SCA5618 can also be combined with an optical or magnetic encoder. The integrated connector makes it easy to connect to customer-specific cables or replace a motor.

The new high-torque stepper motor from Nanotec can be ordered with one or two motor shafts. The shaft end is available in two different versions - with a D-cut and 8 millimeter diameter and with a 6.35 millimeter diameter, but without a D-cut. Together with the newly developed high-torque planetary gearboxes from Nanotec's GP56 series, this results in an ideal motor-gearbox combination. dsc
