Calculate gears three-dimensionally

GWJ Technology is expanding the web-based calculation software eAssistant and the gearbox software TBK with an additional CAD function that supports the export of gears directly from the calculation.

The new function makes it possible to generate the geometry of various gear types as a 3D CAD model in step and Iges format.

Various functions are available in the settings menu for the step and Iges output to customize the export. The geometry can be generated as a volume model with one or all teeth or as a surface model of the tooth gap geometry. When exporting, the user can set the degree of accuracy to a desired value. It is also possible to output involute tooth shapes in 2D DXF with various setting options. The tooth form geometry is supported in both face and normal section.
