Burkhard Balz is the new Senior Vice President at Lenze
Burkhard Balz has been Senior Vice President Automation Systems at automation specialist Lenze since November 1, 2019.
In this newly created position, he will head the Systems business segment and will be responsible for driving forward the growth of the systems business. Lenze wants to underline its position as a leading system provider for machine automation and at the same time set the course for a stronger market orientation.
"The systems business is one of our strategic pillars and its further development is therefore a high priority for Lenze. I am therefore delighted that we have been able to recruit Burkhard Balz, an experienced manager who will devote all his energy to this area," says Lenze CEO Christian Wendler.
Burkhard Balz emphasizes the central importance of his division for Lenze's strategy. "Lenze has more than 70 years of experience in machine automation and a system portfolio that enables us to offer our customers everything they need for modern machines from a single source. Thanks to the consistent integration of automation with drive technology and the in-depth industry expertise of our sales and application engineers, we are making a significant contribution to considerably simplifying engineering and reducing overall costs."
Balz was previously Vice President Sales and Marketing Power & Energy/Industry EMEA at the US industrial group SPX Flow. Prior to this, he held various top management positions at international industrial companies, including Eaton Corporation and Rockwell Automation. as
