Threaded nuts

Backlash-free, for external linear actuators

Nanotec now has radially preloaded threaded nuts in its range for its external linear actuators with flange size 42 mm (NEMA 17).

The backlash-free nuts are self-adjusting during operation and achieve high positioning and repeat accuracy. Compared to simple axially preloaded nuts, they are characterized by a lower frictional torque and a higher degree of efficiency.

The nuts are currently offered in combination with the linear actuators from Nanotec's LSA42 series. These actuators are available in many lengths and pitches as well as with ACME or trapezoidal threads and enable the construction of space-saving linear axes. With the help of an additional encoder and a suitable Nanotec controller, the thrust force of the actuators can be precisely monitored and their dynamics further increased. The force and position control in closed-loop operation is a major advantage, especially in comparison to pneumatic systems.

Medical analysis devices, semiconductor inspection machines or other devices where small loads need to be moved precisely are ideal applications for linear actuators with backlash-free threaded nuts. The new nuts will also be available in other sizes in the near future.
