Process optimization
Consistent security of supply
With "Last Mile Management", the Bossard Group wants to use KVT-Fastening to optimize the picking of tugger trains for the supply of small parts from the central storage locations to production and map them digitally throughout in an app.
Embedded in the manufacturers' "Smart Factory Logistics" concept for an uninterrupted supply of small parts using SmartBin containers, all consumption is to be managed synchronously with demand and supply orders distributed via mobile devices. Optimized route plans should also avoid unnecessary journeys, while real-time consumption data should increase transparency. According to the manufacturer, shorter ordering and delivery times also offer more flexibility in planning. With "Last Mile Management", the manufacturers want to provide manufacturing companies with an easy-to-integrate Industry 4.0 tool that can be operated intuitively and is designed to digitally map the milk run of the tugger trains from start to finish. According to the manufacturer, this results in process time savings and the possibility of flexible self-management in the event of changing workloads. The topic of process optimization is high on the agenda of manufacturing companies. However, approaches such as Kaizen and lean concepts are often already exhausted and offer little scope for further improvements. With "Last Mile Management", the Bossard Group now wants to provide a methodology with which the supply of C-parts to workstations can be raised to the level of current Industry 4.0 standards. sw
