Carry out cutting work with precision
Schukat now stocks all cutting pliers from the Electronic Super Knips series from the German manufacturer Knipex.
The precision pliers in the Electronic Super Knips series with a length of 125 mm are suitable for the finest cutting work, for example in electronics and precision mechanics. The Electronic Super Knips XL pliers with a length of 140 mm are also used in particular for shortening cable ties.
Both series have ground and very sharp cutting edges without a bevel. For a long service life and extremely precise cutting of the thinnest wires, the manufacturer has selected a micro cutting edge offset of maximum 0.2 mm. The electronic pliers have a joint with a stainless steel rivet, an opening spring and an opening limiter and enable fatigue-free working thanks to their extremely smooth operation. The cutting edge hardness of most models is between approx. 54 and 64HRC, the cutting edges are made of INOX stainless steel or special tool steel and are suitable for soft to medium wires. Types 78 81 125 and 78 91 125 are suitable for hard wire, while the ESD version 78 61 125 also cuts fiber optic cables (optical fibers). Some models have a wire clamp to prevent wire sections from jumping off in an uncontrolled manner.
The series are tested and certified in accordance with the international standard DIN ISO 9654 for cutting pliers in the electronics sector. Different colored handles show at a glance the area of application of the various pliers, including standard versions, models with VDE approval for working on electrical systems in accordance with EN 60900 and ESD tools (DIN EN 61 340-5), which protect components at risk from controlled electrostatic discharge.
