SPS 2019
New generation of frequency inverters
Sieb & Meyer is presenting a new SD3 option module at SPS 2019. It enables the evaluation of two transducers and a Hiperface DSL interface. A 450 kVA model is being added to the SD2M frequency inverter. The company is also presenting a new generation of frequency inverters.
The SD4S is the first frequency inverter in the new SD4x product family. It is designed for small high-speed spindles and motors in the power range of a few hundred watts. The company will be presenting further information on this device at the trade fair. A liquid-cooled version of the SD2M frequency inverter with 450 kVA/480 VAC and 630 Aeff rated current will be available in the first quarter of 2020. Although 50 percent more power is achieved, the design volume should correspond to that of the 300 kVA device. The compact dimensions allow space-saving integration into customer systems, especially for turboblowers and turbocompressors.
Sieb & Meyer has also extended the SD3 servo amplifier with an optional module for the evaluation of two transducers (torque transducers) and a Hiperface DSL interface. The additional interfaces open up new application possibilities, for example in the field of screwdriving, pressing and lifting technology, and also significantly reduce the amount of cabling and components required.
