Copley Controls is a globally active company in the field of motion control and supplies servo controllers and stepper motor controllers. Actronic-Solutions now acts as a partner for sales in Germany and introduces the digital servo drives of the Nano series.

These compact miniature servo controllers with currents of up to 70 amps are characterized by first-class power density and excellent thermal management. They can be integrated into autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), robotic joints and other automated devices that require precise speed and position control despite limited space.

Can be mounted directly on the motor or in robot joints

The compact size of the Nano series of just 35 x 30 x 23.4 millimetres also offers integrators the flexibility to mount the units directly on the motor or in robot joints. The optional connectable PCB and CME commissioning software simplify setup and tuning.

There is a choice of two operating voltages for the nano servo controller: nine to 90 Vdc with ten Adc (7.1 Arms) peak or 70 Adc (49.5 Arms) peak; at 20 to 180 Vdc it goes up to ten Adc (7.1 Arms) peak or 30 Adc (21.2 Arms) peak. The continuous current is half in each case. The control electronics can be supplied by an auxiliary voltage independent of the power side (keep-alive).

The Nano series supports the EtherCAT or CANopen communication protocols for real-time data exchange. The Nano Module EtherCAT NES and Nano Module CANopen NPS models are available with an EZ-Board option to simplify installation.
