Master gateway and software tool for component commissioning
Zimmer is presenting its Smart Communication Module, or SCM for short, and the guideZ commissioning software at the SPS.
The SCM as a master gateway is available for control cabinet installation (protection class IP20) or for direct installation on the robot flange (IP54). Both versions are designed for the connection of two IO-Link components and can program the individual parameters of the components. They convert the bus protocol from digital I/O to IO-Link. In conjunction with the guideZ software tool, it is used for simple parameterization and commissioning of components. This allows IO-Link functions to be used on robots.
