Higher security functions integrated

Baumüller is presenting numerous new products at SPS. The company is adding extensive IoT functions to its components. This makes it possible to network and control everything from machines to individual automation components.

With the new edition of the b maXX 5300 frequency inverter, Baumüller is revising its baying technology and making it even more powerful and flexible. For example, the number of safe I/Os can be adapted to the respective requirements of the application. In addition, new safety functions have been integrated, such as the transmission of the safe position via FSoE to a higher-level safety controller. This function can be used to implement safe room monitoring and the safe collaboration of multiple axes, for example in robotics applications. The new devices also enable greater accuracy with regard to encoder resolutions.
