ifm platform
Fast entry into digitization
With the new Moneo digitalization platform, ifm has introduced a system that provides users with a complete toolbox for their IIoT projects.
With the Moneo starter kit, ifm creates the opportunity for a particularly quick and easy introduction to this system. The software architecture of the digitalization platform is based on modules that work together according to the motto "plug & work". This architecture allows the customized system to be individually adapted to your own needs and, if requirements increase, it can also be easily scaled.
To make it easier to get started, ifm offers a starter kit that contains the necessary Moneo modules (software package) as well as the appropriate hardware (hardware package). The central component in the starter kit is an IPC on which the Moneo Appliance Management System is already installed. This enables simple installation and maintenance - for example backup, restore, etc. - of the application without IT knowledge and without necessarily having to involve the IT department.
Various Moneo modules are also included, such as moneo|configure for parameterizing IO-Link sensors, moneo|RTM for real-time maintenance and the central moneo|OS license. Also included are sensors for the measured variables temperature, speed and vibration together with an IO-Link master as well as all the necessary cables and a power supply unit. A WLAN bolt facilitates access to the system without having to integrate it into the company IT system.
After unpacking, the user can start immediately and configure their own application. The sensors included in the kit can be used to implement smart condition monitoring for motors on fans or pumps, for example. The visualization and analysis of the measured values, which are recorded by the speed, temperature and vibration sensors, for example, is easily done in Moneo's web-based interface. Alarm management, which works with configurable thresholds, is also fully implemented and only needs to be configured. This condition monitoring ensures the operability of machines and systems and reduces unplanned machine downtimes.
Once the user has gained positive experience with the first IIoT project, they can easily expand it at any time. Additional modules and the connection of further sensors create a comprehensive IIoT solution. The size of the projects is scaled using Infopoint licenses, where the costs depend on the number of data points. A typical area of application for Moneo is brownfield applications in which existing machines and systems are to be digitalized.
