Omron has launched the CP2E series all-in-one controller with integrated I/O connections, communication functions and machine axis control. It offers new control technologies and IoT connectivity even for compact machines.

Manufacturers need to continuously optimize processes from machine commissioning to operation and maintenance. The performance of connected machines can be visualized, which supports productivity and quality in production and other industries. Companies with compact machines also need to make more use of production data, visualize machine performance and prevent sudden defects and breakdowns.

The CP2E series is a cost-effective way to integrate compact machines into the Internet of Things (IoT). It collects machine performance data and shares the required information with the host network. Thanks to predefined program data in the form of a function block, less development work is required and quality is improved through standardization. This simplifies the setup of machines that perform complex control tasks.

The time required for programming, testing, debugging and maintenance is also reduced. In addition, the extended operating temperature range guarantees reliable use in machines for the non-manufacturing industry, where the demand for controllers is increasing. The CP2E series is fully backward compatible with previous Omron solutions, such as the CP1 series.
