Automatic punching presses
Update makes presses fit for Industry 4.0
As the successor company to Müller Weingarten, Schuler offers the "Schuler Mono Control" control update for older automatic punching presses with a press force of between 250 and 2,000 tons. The company has already installed a new system on 20 of these presses, many of which also have an electronic transfer and electronic roll feed.
The latest computers give customers the certainty that they will still be able to obtain spare parts in the future as well as significantly better diagnostic options in the event of faults. The new visualization and the larger user interface also make operation easier. The machine is also prepared for Industry 4.0 thanks to the built-in remote maintenance access. Nine out of ten problems can be solved remotely. This significantly reduces downtimes and increases productivity. Schuler is also working on systems for predictive maintenance in order to use sensor data from the operation of the machines to optimize maintenance. am
