Schunk at the AMB 2018

Andrea Gillhuber,

Focus on intelligent clamping technology

This year, Schunk is focusing on zero-point clamping modules, clamping blocks and grippers. Among other things, the clamping technology specialist will be showcasing the electrically operated Vero-S NSE-E mini 90 zero-point clamping module, which positions and clamps workpieces, components and pallets within a few seconds with a repeat accuracy of <0.005 mm.

The fluid-free 24 V module is used in production environments as well as in assembly, on measuring machines or in 3D printing. Last year, the Vero-S NE3 was improved in terms of pull-in force and rigidity and equipped as standard with dynamic pressure monitoring and an optional spring-actuated cone lock. For this year's AMB, Schunk is announcing the launch of a special module for automated machine loading and a sensor-based zero-point clamping module.
