Visualization and organization
The analog planning board is still up to date
Weigang will be exhibiting its planning board and visualization solutions at Fachpack, as well as a sample of the new task board for the Scrum methodology. Network-compatible planning board systems from the NEO division will also be presented.
"The intensive examination of established and new management methods - whether they are called Lean Management or Six Sigma or - currently very topical - Scrum or Design Thinking, is part of the essence of our company; we therefore have a high level of methodological expertise in all these disciplines," says Georg Jahn, Managing Director of Weigang. The manufacturer's visualization and organization specialists have repeatedly observed that the classic analogue planning board in its various forms has lost neither its relevance nor its significance despite all the digitalization trends.
In recent years in particular - and especially at the moment - many users are showing an increased interest in planning boards or visualization solutions adapted to specific operations and processes. "It is often a question of making the stages and intermediate steps of a process that take place in the invisible part of a digital control system visible again at the decisive points - for example to the operations manager or the quality manager - ideally in front of the eyes of an entire team," explains Georg Jahn. Weigang will be exhibiting some of its planning board and visualization solutions at Fachpack.
Shopfloor, FiFo or ESD
In addition to various stand-alone boards for stationary or mobile applications, Weigang will also be exhibiting the components of its modular store floor system and ready-to-use FiFo solutions. Also on display will be planning boards for classic tasks such as planning orders, shifts or machine assignments as well as ESD modules for the electrical/electronics industry and numerous product examples from the manufacturer's diverse range of pockets and labeling solutions.
For users who want to use the Scrum methodology as a concept for agile project management, Weigang will be showing an example of its new task board. This is a modular planning board system for the cross-industry and cross-departmental application of Scrum, which can be adapted to the individual requirements of different project teams. The frameless and ferromagnetic planning board is available in two sizes and is designed for use in all areas of a company. It can be attached to the wall with a wall rail, but also fits the manufacturer's board stand system.
This turns the task board into a mobile, agile whiteboard and can be used flexibly in line with progress in the Scrum process or at different locations. "All of these analogue visualization media share a wealth of advantageous properties: they are variable, create transparency, make methods and processes visible and improve internal communication. They also make workflows and information understandable in the truest sense of the word - keyword complexity reduction - and immediately create a complete overview of all relevant parameters of a project," summarizes Jahn.
Analog and digital in harmony
In addition to its analogue visualization media, Weigang is also working on the development and implementation of hybrid planning and visualization solutions. Here, the company interacts with numerous research partners such as the Laboratory for Production Architecture of the Future within the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences. The first concrete results of this work are, for example, the network-compatible planning board systems from the NEO division.
