Punch press

Faster punching

The outstanding feature of the punching press for plastics is its fast punching cycle of 960 strokes per minute, says manufacturer Stanova. The high punching speed produces high-quality PVC wiring ducts.

This results in a largely burr-free product that can be sold without additional processing. Burrs and lint are undesirable in wiring ducts because sharp edges can cause injuries to fitters. The cables in switch cabinets can also be damaged by burrs, resulting in faults. The subsequent troubleshooting of a complex machine is very time-consuming.

In addition, burrs and lint contaminate the machines and the production hall. Productivity is also higher than with conventional punching machines, the manufacturer promises. Whereas previously four to eight meters per minute were punched, the newly developed punching machine can punch up to twelve meters. The height and width of the profiles to be punched can be selected individually. Possible sizes range from 25 by 37 millimetres to 100 by 150 millimetres. as
