Under the eRolling brand, Profiroll aims to adapt the impetus from the 4th industrial revolution to modern cold rolling systems for rotationally symmetrical profiles. As a result, the intelligent rolling system thinks for itself and adjusts the processes to the specific workpiece.
The system detects material-specific fluctuations that manifest themselves in different dimensions on the formed part and adjusts these dimensions autonomously. In addition, a large proportion of the forming energy is released as heat during rolling and leads to thermal changes in the systems. This behavior is detected during temperature compensation and compensated for by a process adjustment. In addition, Profiroll cold rolling machines are equipped with a DMC reader to read the DMC information stored on the tool.
At the same time, the data is written to the current program, making set-up much easier. Part tracking is also possible: process data is recorded on a workpiece-specific basis and stored in a network drive. The Profiroll systems also monitor the current tool status and detect as soon as the end of tool life is reached and a tooth breakage occurs. as
