Euroblech focuses on digitalization
1,500 exhibitors from 39 countries are expected at this year's Eurolech in Hanover. The international technology trade fair for sheet metal working will focus on Industry 4.0, big data and digitalization.
The 25th International Technology Fair for Sheet Metal Working will take place in the exhibition halls in Hanover from October 23 to 26, 2018. A total of 1,500 exhibitors from 39 countries have registered for the industry show, which this year will be dominated by the topics of digitalization and Industry 4.0. With more than 89,000 square meters of net exhibition space, the trade fair has recorded an increase in space of a good two percent compared to the previous event. The most important exhibitor countries are Germany, Italy, China, Turkey, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, Austria and the USA.
At this year's 25th edition of Euroblech, the focus will be on Industry 4.0, Big Data and digitalization. These developments currently offer enormous potential for small and medium-sized companies in particular, as they enable new business models with leaner and less complex processes as well as improved productivity and efficiency.
"Things that were dreams of the future just a few years ago, such as an app for monitoring machine maintenance or the interaction of machines and robots that communicate with each other throughout the entire production process, are already a reality in sheet metal processing. It is no longer just the large companies that are making progress in this area; SMEs have also recognized its potential. The size of their companies generally allows them to react more flexibly and at shorter notice to such changes, which puts them in a good position to take advantage of digitalization," says Evelyn Warwick, Exhibition Director of Euroblech, on behalf of the organizer Mack Brooks Exhibitions.
